Nadia Bolz Weber's videos and this butterfly I photographed gave me thoughts about how we can love ourselves for not being born or reborn as perfect.
Reborn
By Rohini Chandra
When life gives a second chance,
The voice of love hushes
The shame of her cocoon,
and awakens the caterpillar.
Reborn from silk darkness,
Resetting her internal compass,
For the great ascent to Mexico
From the Great Lakes.
Carrying the atlas of her future
On her ethereal wings,
She is new to flying
and no where near perfect,
But she is beautifully real.
Her past only moves her forward
Removing the weight of importance,
Fluttering freely and humbly
With purpose and grace.
